Raventos family come from a long generation of winemakers, Raventos winery was founded in 1986 to branch out from Cordoniu (the black bottle at HEB) family business and create a smaller quality-oriented winery.

In the heart of the Penedes region, famous for gentle winters and warm summers with a soil no different from the Champagne region with high percentage of chalk and clay.

Raventos is an intriguing rose made in the very Champenoise tradition, the grapes are white in color with a small injection of Monastrell (Mourvèdre) to give it that pale pink.

The grapes are natives and traditional blend for cava making, Macabeo, Xarel-lo, Parellada and 5% of Monastrell. Each grape varietal is harvested, pressed and fermented separately in steel tanks, then the blending happens to create the very constant quality and taste, before a secondary fermentation in the bottle, which rest for at least 15 months before disgorgement. Like Champagne bottles, manual riddling is carried out in A frame riddling racks for 20 days before disgorging than the expedition liqueur is added before the final corkage.

The color is definitely pale pink, with clear clean aromas, nose and taste of light citrus, strawberries, red fruits, white flowers and a delicate minerality. Overall an elegant sophisticated special occasion sparkling wine with pleasant freshness and fine bubbles.
